In case the card reader is working sometimes, but not always or not very fast.
Then usually the cause is a permission setting of the app you are using to connect with the card reader.
Eg: your nursing software.
Go to your phone settings, go to apps, select your nursing app and verify whether the location rights are set to full permissions and precise location.
In order to detect the card reader properly, the app needs to know it's precise location to find nearby bluetooth devices.
